Attendance Information
Attendance Matters
Good attendance helps children learn, make progress and enjoy school. We expect all children to attend every day unless they are genuinely unwell or there is another authorised reason.
Also see:
- Our Attendance Policy on our Policies and Documents page.
- Our School Opening Hours.
If Your Child is Absent
Please contact the school by 9.30am on the first day of absence and keep us updated if the absence continues. Make sure the school always has up-to-date contact details and emergency contacts.
Illness and Appointments
- Children should attend school whenever possible.
- Medical and dental appointments should be arranged outside school hours where possible.
- Evidence of appointments may be requested.
- Children should attend school before or after appointments if possible.
Need advice about a minor illness or health concern?
Many common conditions can be treated quickly and conveniently by your local pharmacy, often without needing a GP appointment. Pharmacists are highly trained healthcare professionals who can provide advice, recommend treatments and support families with a range of everyday health concerns. How We Help
We use a support-first approach. If attendance falls, we will:
- Contact parents.
- Discuss any barriers to attendance.
