Outdoor Learning
Whatever the weather, whatever the subject we aim to be outside as much as possible. The best learning often takes place when we are not even aware of it – through shared excitement, knowledge and recognition.
We have so many outdoor spaces to foster and encourage this. In EYFS the outdoor area provides endless opportunities for exploration and learning. Our children also get to experience Forest School in Year 1, seeing the seasons and changing nature around them.
Throughout the school outdoor learning is planned around our curriculum, which gives depth and enrichment to the topics studied. As our children are exposed to natural environments they gain understanding and respect for the natural world and all that lives within it.
PE Curriculum
PE lessons are taught throughout the week in school to all pupils.
In addition to this, we are fortunate to have our own swimming pool, which means that each week pupils have swimming lessons, with a dedicated swimming instructor, Mrs Cotton. Throughout each academic year every class goes swimming.

PE Kits
Please be reminded that children should have their PE kits with them in school at all times, in case of timetable changes. PE is an important part of the curriculum and at New Hall, we want our children to get the most out of it by being prepared.
Please see our Uniform page for details of our PE kit and local stockists.
