New Hall Primary School: Love to Learn

Introduction

At New Hall we love to learn!

New Hall Primary School is located in Sutton Coldfield in the north area of Birmingham Local Authority.

We are a two form entry school in Years 1 to 6, with a one and a half form Reception class.

The school currently has about 320 pupils on roll from 4 to 11 years. This is made up of two Reception (up to 5 years) classes, four Key Stage 1 (5 to 7 years) classes and six Key Stage 2 (7 to 11 years) classes.

We are fortunate to have a lovely environment for all to enjoy, with extensive playgrounds, fields, play equipment and even a swimming pool on site, which all pupils access. There is a separate dining room for school lunches and a hall. We have a school library, Cyber Café (IT) as well as iPads in every classroom and roaming laptops which are accessible to all.

To make the most of our outside space we have superb outdoor learning areas for EYFS, a Year 1 quad and Year 2 outdoor area. Key Stage 2 have an outdoor Maths Academy. We have a fantastic Forest School also.

Our purpose built facilities provide ample opportunities for families to come and experience all that we have to offer.

Mission Statement

Our school mission statement is:

LOVE TO LEARN

At New Hall Primary School we aim to foster self esteem, confidence and independence, flourishing within a calm secure environment.

It is a place where children are encouraged to aim high, develop a love of learning, think positively and develop the ability to reflect. We will aim to nurture these from birth.

Mutual respect is encouraged for each other and our surroundings. Diversity and inclusion is promoted.

Through our shared vision we aim to recognise the values of every individual as well as an awareness of the role they play within their community.

In our community we aim:

  • to keep ourselves safe
  • to make healthy choices
  • to enjoy and achieve
  • to succeed in our futures
  • to make positive contributions.

The school council were instrumental in setting our simple but effective school rules that underpin our mission statement:

RESPECT YOURSELF, OTHERS AND THE ENVIRONMENT
