Event - World Book Day

1 March 2018

On Thursday 1st March the whole school had great fun taking part in World Book Day celebrations. There were lots of fabulous characters around school sharing their love of reading and thank you to all parents and carers who supported their children with dressing up.

Everyone had the opportunity to talk, read and share all the wonderful books that inspire us to be great readers. We also welcomed Willy Wonka who worked with Year 2 and 3 to explore his magical factory and helped us invent our own sweets.

It was lovely to see parents, carers and governors reading with children last week. Thank you to all who were able to come. Please continue to encourage your children to read at home, both books and on our interactive reading programme, Bug Club. This will enable them to complete their Spring Home Reading Challenge.

Well done to the many children who have completed theirs so far!
